Waste-to-energy (WtE) or energy-from-waste (EfW) is the process of creating energy in the form of electricity or heat from the incineration of waste source. FUNDING A WASTE-TO-ENERGY PROJECT
A great feature in funding waste-to-energy projects is the fact that traditional funding instruments can be and often are used, and no special accommodations or arrangements need to be added on to a funding arrangement involving waste-to-energy.
The best case scenario is if the developer has an off-take agreement (agreement in which a third party that has signed a contract guaranteeing that they will be buying the promoter's output for a certain length of time in the future) right from the start as for investors it is a guarantee of return on their investment.
